Berntsen leads No. 19 Princeton women past Harvard 96-46

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) Amanda Berntsen hit 6 of 7 shots for a career-high 17 points to lead No. 19 Princeton to a 96-46 win over Harvard on Friday.

Blake Dietrick led the Tigers (18-0, 2-0) with 18 points, Alex Wheatley 15 and Vanessa Smith 14.

Princeton, which led 44-26 at the half, shot 59.4 percent, going 9 of 15 from 3-point range.

Temi Fagbenle led Harvard (8-9, 1-2) with 13.

Harvard had a 47-34 rebounding advantage, which translated to a 50-14 difference in points in the paint.

The Crimson had 20 offensive rebounds but got beat 23-13 in second-chance points.

Harvard also had 21 turnovers that Princeton turned into 31 points.

The Crimson shot just 23.8 percent, making 3 of 16 3-point attempts.
