REPLAY UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum weigh-in results

Published Jun. 12, 2015 5:00 p.m. ET

The heavyweight title fight at UFC 188 is now official after Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum both hit the scale and made weight on Friday.

Velasquez entered the arena to a huge chorus of cheers from the Mexican faithful as he hit the mark at 242 pounds, looking focused and ready to go.

Following the weigh-in, Velasquez soaked in the raucous crowd who all seemed on his side as they cheered his name as he took to the microphone to address them.

"For me it's a dream.  This is for all of you," Velasquez said.

Werdum also make weight with no problems although he had to deal with a very loud Mexican crowd who let him know without a shadow of a doubt that they are very pro-Velasquez.

The co-main event between Gilbert Melendez and Eddie Alvarez featured some intense trash talking as the two lightweights came face to face after hitting the scale. Alvarez immediately began jawing at Melendez standing across from him while the former Strikeforce champion essentially told him to just walk away.

Everybody was on weight without incident making UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum official for Saturday night.  The full results of the weigh-ins below.
