We don’t know what Georges St-Pierre’s future could hold. But now we know what’s next for his Tristar teammate.

Makdessi (12-2) has been on a roll, winning three fights in a row following a loss to Anthony Njokuani in April 2012. The Canadian lightweight’s last bout was a first-round TKO of Renee Forte at UFC 165 on Sept. 21. He owns a 4-2 record in the UFC.
'Nuguette' (11-0), whose full name is Alan Patrick Silva Alves, won his UFC debut against Garett Whitely in impressive fashion by first-round knockout at UFC Fight Night: Shields vs. Maia on Oct. 9. The Brazilian fights out of X-Gym.
UFC 169, which is the night before the Super Bowl, is headlined by a pair of title fights. Dominick Cruz and Renan Barao will meet to unify the UFC bantamweight title in the main event. In the co-main event, Jose Aldo defends his featherweight title against Ricardo Lamas.
