Boxing champion Canelo Alvarez throws support behind Nate Diaz before UFC 202
Add boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez to list of people who won’t be surprised if Nate Diaz takes care of Conor McGregor on Saturday night.
Alvarez was pictured wearing a shirt that featured Diaz famous “I’m not surprised, (expletive)” quote from his UFC 196 victory over McGregor, where he earned a second-round submission. Alvarez also spoke to FightHype recently and said that that he believes the fight will play out largely the same as the fight time.
“It’s going to be a fight that obviously has been fascinating and interesting. We know the first fight Nate Diaz won. Personally, I think the same thing will happen again. But it will be a good fight.”
We’ll see tonight if Diaz can earn another win over McGregor, but he has the support of one of the biggest stars in all of combat sports.
