Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says the contract of
coach Louis van Gaal could be extended beyond 2011.
Rummenigge tells DSF television the Bundesliga club wants
continuity and if van Gaal is successful he could stay in Bayern
longer than the end of his contract on June 30, 2011.
After a difficult start, Bayern has won its last 13 games and
is still in three competitions - the Bundesliga, the Champions
League and the German Cup. Rummenigge says van Gaal and the players
now understand each other better.
