Unai Emery wants to beat Manchester United to top spot in Group C after seeing Valencia book a place in the Champions League last 16.

Having already beaten Turkish outfit Busaspor 4-0 away from home, Valencia completed an impressive double thanks to goals from Roberto Soldado (two), Juan Mata, Aritz Aduriz, Joaquin and Alejandro Dominguez.

That 6-1 result, combined with United's late win over Rangers at Ibrox, ensured Los Che of a place in the knockout stages and means Emery's men and the English giants will now do battle for first place at Old Trafford in the final round of fixtures.

United are currently three points clear and beat Valencia 1-0 away from home.

Emery said: "The objective clearly was to get through to the last 16, but we want to do it in first place, and we have the opportunity to achieve that at an unbeatable setting and against an opponent who defeated us at the Mestalla."

Regarding his side's win over hapless Bursaspor, which saw Valencia net four times in stunning 20-minute spell in the first half, Emery added: "We had a lot of respect for Bursaspor, we wanted to go out with a lot of intensity right from the start and in the end it's been a big victory, which leaves us pleased for the team and for the fans."
