The United States Soccer Federation has renewed its agreement with Nike for nine years through 2022.

Nike has been the equipment supplier for the federation's men's and women's teams since January 1995. Adidas had been the supplier for the previous 22 years. The United States men's team is preparing for its seventh straight World Cup appearance. The women have won three straight Olympic gold medals.

The new deal was announced Friday.

"Nike is extremely proud to continue our longstanding partnership with United States Soccer," said Nike Brand President Trevor Edwards. "The partnership reinforces Nike's leadership in soccer, as we continue to deliver game-changing innovations on the pitch and share the same vision to further grow the sport as a whole in the US."
