Tottenham has moved quickly to replace Luka Modric by agreeing to sign midfielder Mousa Dembele from Premier League rival Fulham.

Fulham says the 25-year-old Belgium international ''has successfully completed a medical and will sign for an undisclosed fee.''

No financial details or personal terms were disclosed by either club.

Dembele, a technically gifted central midfielder, will fill the void left by Modric, who left Tottenham on Monday to join Real Madrid for a reported ?35 million ($44 million). Dembele spent two seasons at Craven Cottage after signing from Dutch team AZ Alkmaar.
