Tijane, who currently plies his trade for GD Chaves, is highly-regarded in his homeland and has represented Portugal at Under 21 level

The skilful wideman has attracted the interest of a host of clubs after impressing for club and country over the last 12 months.

West Ham and Benfica are both thought to have expressed an interest, but Stoke are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring Tijane to the Britannia Stadium.

Pulis has already signed Michael Kightly this summer, but he has expressed an interest in Blackburn's Martin Olsson and Bolton's Lee Chung-yong as he bids to add further competition for current wingmen Jermaine Pennant and Matthew Etherington.

Pulis has now been alerted to Tijane's potential and, according to Sky Sports sources, has invited him over for training so that he can cast an eye over him at close quarters.
