Blackburn defender Christopher Samba is reportedly ready to look for another club and would ideally like to join big-spending Paris Saint-Germain.

Blackburn is in last place in the Premier League and the 27-year-old Samba sees his future elsewhere.

''It's been difficult for me mentally lately, I've tried to maintain my level of performance but I feel that it's time for me to change,'' Samba told the website of sports daily L'Equipe late Wednesday. ''The club is not improving at all.''

Without elaborating, he said some promises have not been kept.

''I've always tried to set an example, but things haven't happened as I was told they would,'' Samba said. ''I hope people will understand me.''

Samba, who grew up on the outskirts of Paris, has been linked with a move to PSG, which is in first place in the French league.

''We'll see if the interest is confirmed or not, but it would be good for me to return home,'' Samba said. ''In any case, it's flattering. The club has taken on a new dimension, it's not the PSG of a few years ago.''
