Reid injury news lifts Black Cats

The 27-year-old Irishman looked to be facing at least a month on the sidelines when he damaged his hamstring during the 1-1 Premier League draw at Portsmouth on February 9. Assistant boss Erik Black told the club's official website: "Reidy will probably be back in another 10 or 12 days. "He's ahead of schedule and has been working extremely hard in the gym. "He trained a little with the players yesterday - he's doing well and getting him back will be a major plus for us."
