UEFA says Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will miss just one European Championship game after being sent off in the opening match against Greece.

UEFA says its disciplinary panel declined to extend his mandatory one-match ban for getting a straight red card in Poland's 1-1 draw on Friday.

Szczesny is ineligible to face Group A leader Russia in Warsaw on Tuesday.

The Arsenal 'keeper can return for the last group match against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw on Saturday.

Szczesny brought down Greece forward Dimitris Salpigidis and conceded a penalty, which was saved by substitute 'keeper Przemyslaw Tyton.

UEFA says Greece defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos also misses only one match for being shown two yellow cards.
