Two consecutive defeats have left the Baggies in danger of being sucked into a relegation dogfight.

But Odemwingie says the fixtures in the next few weeks give them an opportunity to put distance between themselves and the bottom three.

The Baggies host Premier League new boys Norwich and Swansea either side of trips to Stoke and Fulham in the next few weeks before going to rivals Wolves.

"There will be pressure for all the clubs in the bottom of the table," said Odemwingie. "In a way it's exciting, but I only hope we can get all the points necessary to avoid having a very nervous end to the season.

"Bolton and Blackburn both won away recently, so I think it's going to get tough now and every point will be very important.

"Norwich is a very important game for us and three points will really help a lot.

"The win over Cardiff in the FA Cup was important after the last two losses and prepares us for a very important few weeks of important Premier League games for us."
