Motherwell manager Stuart McCall will make a late decision on Steve Jennings ahead of the game.
Jennings has trained for two days following a hamstring problem and McCall will assess his reaction, but fellow midfielder Stuart Carswell is still suffering the after-effects of a chest infection.
Defender Steven Saunders (Achilles) remains out, while reserve goalkeeper Lee Hollis has made an initial return to training after a hip injury.
Inverness captain Richie Foran is suspended but Steve Williams is in line for his debut after signing on loan from Bradford.
Midfielder Andrew Shinnie was back in training this week and could return from a calf injury, but defender Ross Tokely is likely to miss out once again following his own calf problem.
Defender Kenny Gillet is free to play on - his suspension will be applied in next Wednesday's William Hill Scottish Cup replay with Dunfermline - but David Davis has returned to parent club Wolves and Aidan Chippendale to Huddersfield following the end of their loan spells.
