Mauro Camoranesi has started training regularly with Italy again but now fellow midfielder Claudio Marchisio is working out on his own.

Camoranesi injured his left knee a week ago and sat out friendlies against Mexico and Switzerland. Marchisio was bruised during the 2-1 loss to Mexico and had been training regularly until Italy's arrival in South Africa on Wednesday.

Marchisio ran on his own up and down the pitch during the Azzurri's first training session at the World Cup.

Another midfielder, Andrea Pirlo, was the only player not to train at all at Southdowns College near Pretoria. Pirlo could miss the entire group phase after injuring his left calf against Mexico.

Italy opens Group F play against Paraguay on Monday in Cape Town.

"I think it's reasonable to say that by Monday all the players except Pirlo will be available," coach Marcello Lippi said.
