Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa scored his first goal for Manchester United in a 1-0 win over Shanghai Shenhua in a friendly on Wednesday.
Kagawa found the net in the 68th minute, receiving a pass from Portuguese winger Bebe.
Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba did not play for his new Shanghai Shenhua team.
United starts the new English Premier League season on Aug. 20 with an away game against Everton.
