Llorente insists winter exit from Bilbao
Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente says he will again try to leave his boyhood club in the winter after failing to secure a transfer this offseason.
Llorente said he ''will be free again to negotiate in January'' after playing his first minutes and scoring his first goal for Bilbao this season in Sunday's 3-3 draw at Espanyol.
Llorente scored on his return as Athletic Bilbao twice came from behind to claim a 3-3 draw at Espanyol after saying he wouldn't renew his contract beyond next summer, adding to Bilbao's tumultuous summer that saw it lose midfielder Javi Martinez to Bayern Munich.
The Spanish international told radio SER, ''Even though one day I won't play for Athletic, I will always support this team. It is a personal decision and people have to respect it.''
