League rejects appeal on Ibrahimovic ban

The Italian league has rejected an appeal from AC Milan to reduce Zlatan Ibrahimovic's three-match ban for insulting a linesman.

Ibrahimovic has already sat out a 3-0 win over Sampdoria last weekend, and he'll also miss games against Brescia and Bologna.

Ibrahimovic was also banned for punching a defender in the stomach last month. That ban was reduced from three to two matches on appeal.

Milan has a six-point lead over Napoli at the top of the table, with five matches remaining in Serie A.
