Robbie Keane scored his 49th international goal Sunday to give Ireland a 1-0 win over Scotland and victory for the host nation in the inaugural Nations Cup.
Scotland created the best early chances in the final of the four-nation tournament through Charlie Adam and Phil Bardsley before Keane scored the only goal.
The Tottenham striker collected a pass on halfway and surged forward to score past goalkeeper Allan McGregor from the edge of the area.
The victory gave Ireland a morale boost ahead of June 4's 2012 European Championship qualifier against Macedonia.

Keane says it was a ''great buildup for Macedonia, a great boost for the camp.''
Wales and Northern Ireland were the other teams in the Nations Cup tournament.
