Juventus striker Amauri isn't ruling out a return to Palermo after the Brazil-born Italy international was linked to an exchange with Palermo striker Massimo Maccarone during the transfer window.

Amauri spent two years at Palermo from 2006-08 and hit 23 goals in 53 games before he joined Juventus.

The 30-year-old Amauri told Stadionews on Thursday, ''Never say never, in football anything is possible. I am still like a son to (Palermo president Maurizio) Zamparini and if I was to respond from the heart, you would know what I would say.''

After initially impressing after joining Juventus in 2008, Amauri struggled back from a knee injury, but was awarded his first cap for Italy in the loss to Ivory Coast last August.
