Defending Copa Libertadores champion Internacional has extended its contract with Argentine midfielder Pablo Guinazu until 2014.
Internacional club director Roberto Siegmann made the announcement to local media on Monday, ending rumors the 32-year-old defensive midfielder was negotiating to leave the Brazilian club.
Siegmann also said Internacional is close to reaching a deal to extend the contract of 30-year-old Argentine playmaker Andres D'Alessandro until 2015.
He said the deal with D'Alessandro could be announced in the coming days.
