Gremio says it has reached a deal to sign Argentine midfielder Damian Escudero on a loan from Boca Juniors.
Club president Paulo Odone has told a local radio station that the 23-year-old Escudero will sign the contract after undergoing medical exams this week.
Financial details or the length of the contract have not been released.
Escudero played in Argentina's youth squads and for clubs Velez Sarsfield in Argentina and Villareal and Valladolid in Spain.
