Gil, who returned to the club almost a week late in January following a leave of absence, was again missing last week. But after the club made it clear they would not allow the player to return to his native Brazil to sign for Corinthians, Gil fulfilled a promise to rejoin the squad on Monday. And club president Jean-Raymond Legrand told L'Equipe: "He has done what he said. "He was polite and showed no rancour, even to me after I blocked (the move). He will not be sanctioned."
