World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro is under investigation over a suspected major tax fraud, Italian police have confirmed.
Cannavaro has had assets worth 900,000 euros seized in connection with a probe into a luxury boat rental business that he ran with his wife.
Revenue authorities in Naples are investigating the period 2005-2010 and the prosecutor confirmed the case is "in relation to a massive tax fraud put in place by the 'Fd Service srl', a luxury boat charter company that the former footballer and his wife Daniela Arenoso operated."
