Charlton's season went from bad to worse as they were dumped out of the FA Cup following a 2-1 defeat by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Blades striker Danny Webber caught Addicks goalkeeper Rob Elliott off his line as he drilled an opportunistic shot into the top corner to open the scoring and ignite a previously placid fourth-round tie.

The goal came moments after Webber was guilty of missing a routine header as United dominated the opening period, but they did double their lead in the 60th minute courtesy of Lee Hendrie's deflected free-kick.
