Dundee United manager Peter Houston has several injury worries ahead of the derby.
United are still sweating on the fitness of Gary Mackay-Steven (knee), Sean Dillon (groin), Johnny Russell (groin), and Gavin Gunning (back).
Houston said: "It's still to early to say about the injured guys but we've just got to prepare as normal for the game."
Martin Boyle goes straight into the Dundee squad.

The 19-year-old joined from Montrose on Thursday after hitting 22 goals last season and two already this term.
But midfielder Kevin McBride (foot) and Nicky Riley (hamstring) and striker Carl Finnigan (knee) will all be missing.
