Cobblers face 'massive test'

Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd has described his side's trip to Fleetwood at the weekend as a 'massive test'.

The Cod Army, Conference champions last season, have adapted quickly to life in the Football League, winning three and drawing one of their first five matches in League Two.

Three victories on the spin have put Fleetwood up among the early season pacesetters in the division and Boothroyd knows his side will have to be at their best if they are to return home from the north west with something to show for their efforts.

"Fleetwood are very strong and they are here to mean business. They are not in this division to make up the numbers and I think they will want to get up again," Boothroyd told the media at his pre-match press conference.

"If you look at their recruitment they are looking at players who have played in the Championship and League One so they are in it to be successful just like we are.

"I think it's a massive test for us away from home. They had a great win at Morecambe and they have got players in their team who can hurt any opposition so we have to make sure that we are at our best to get something from the game."
