Chelsea hopes Torres starts scoring at Man United

Accused of being an $80-million dud, Fernando Torres could hardly pick a better time to score his first goals for Chelsea than Tuesday's Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester United.

Europe offers the last realistic route to glory for a Chelsea side that is 11 points behind United in the Premier League title race and Carlo Ancelotti's team must overturn a 1-0 deficit at Old Trafford.

Torres has failed to score in 10 matches since joining Chelsea from Liverpool on the last day of the January transfer window.

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun insists that Torres ''is the best striker in the world ... he will score a lot of goals because he's just quality.''

Benayoun concedes that ''we are playing to save our season'' against United.
