The Stoke goalkeeper opted out of a trip to the United States for the game, three months after illness ruled him out of a meeting with Slovakia. On that occasion his explanation was accepted, but Begovic will not escape sanction this time. "After this we will initiate proceedings against him," Bosnia coach Safet Susic is quoted as saying by The Sentinel. "I could not believe it when he cancelled against the Slovaks, but I forgive him because he is an outstanding goalkeeper. "But we will do everything that needs to be done when it comes to this case. After doing this for a second time, it will not be overlooked again."
