Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner has joined Sunderland on loan from Premier League rival Arsenal for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old Bendtner is the third forward to join Sunderland this summer, following the signings of South Korea international Ji Dong-won and England Under-21 player Connor Wickham.
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce, whose side has picked up one point from its first three league games, says ''he's an outstanding talent and is a big, physical presence who will lead the line magnificently for us.''
Bendtner has been at Arsenal since 2004.
