MUNICH -- Bayern Munich says midfielder Thiago Alcantara will be out of action for three to four weeks because of a knee injury.
Thiago injured his right knee in Spain's 2-0 win in a friendly against England last week.
Bayern says the latest injury had nothing to do with Thiago's previous right-knee problems that forced the midfielder to sit out more than a year before coming back in April.

Thiago is likely to miss the rest of the Bundesliga season before the winter break.
