Arsenal was forced to settle for fourth place in the Premier League after it salvaged a late 2-2 draw at Fulham on the final day of the season Sunday.

Arsene Wenger's team was hoping to claim the last automatic Champions League qualification place, but a point at Craven Cottage and Manchester City's victory at Bolton meant Arsenal was denied.

Steve Sidwell put Fulham one up after 26 minutes before Robin van Persie scored his ninth successive league goal away from home to make it 1-1.

Bobby Zamora restored the home side's lead 12 minutes after halftime but, after Fulham's Zoltan Gera was sent off in the 71st minute, Theo Walcott scored Arsenal's second equalizer in the 89th.
