Wild recall four from Houston, send down two

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild shuffled the bottom of their roster Friday, sending two players to Houston of the AHL and recalling four more.

Forwards David McIntyre and Casey Wellman will head to the Aeros. Forwards Matt Kassian, Jed Ortmeyere, Chad Rau and defenseman Nate Prosser will return to the Wild, who have just two wins in their last 17 games amid a run of injuries.

Kassian, 25, has two goals and two assists with the Aeros this season and has played in eight career games with the Wild.    

Ortmeyer, 33, has played in four games with the Wild this season and has seven goals and seven assists. He has skated in 314 NHL games in eight seasons with the New York Rangers, Nashville, San Jose and Minnesota.

Prosser, 25, has five assists in 18 games with the Wild this season, and Rau, 24, has yet to play in an NHL game.
