Weekend Blitz: NFL Week 11 picks

Published Nov. 20, 2015 11:20 a.m. ET

Welcome to another edition of "Weekend Blitz," a column that will appear on FOXSports.com each Friday during the football season. Consider this one of your must-read features as you wrap up the week and head into a Saturday and Sunday filled with pigskin. We'll be giving out NFL picks, possibly some college football picks and plug some of the best content from the world of sports and pop culture.

Please come back every Friday, check FOXSports.com/Buzzer or follow me, @JimmyTraina, on Twitter.

We're coming off our worst week of the season, so perhaps you really should just stop reading this now. There are plenty of other stories on FOXSports.com that will serve you better. Our season record now stands at a 21-23-1. Pathetic.

However, as all gamblers know, when you're down, you just regroup and go stronger. That leads us to a six-pack of picks for Week 11.

VIKINGS PK VS. PACKERS: This is the biggest game Minnesota has played in a while. It will get the job done at home behind a very tough defense, that should feast on a depleted Packers offense. Minnesota is only allowing 17.1 point per game, second best in the NFL. With Green Bay banged up at running back and wide receiver, it will be a long day for its offense. Meanwhile, Adrian Peterson is rolling. His rushing totals in Minnesota's last four games: 98 yards, 103 yards, 125 yards, 203 yards. Expect a big day for the back against a Packers defense allowing 116.2 yards per game.

PATRIOTS -7 VS. BILLS: Any time we can get New England minus a touchdown or less at home, we'll take them. We've said this before and we'll say it again: If you don't think the Patriots and especially Tom Brady are on a mission to shove it up everyone's butt after Deflategate, you are not paying attention. With the Patriots, it's not a matter of if they will win. It's a matter of whether they will cover. One more nugget: Tom Brady has never lost at home as a touchdown favorite against the Bills, he is a perfect 10-0 straight-up.

● Another reason to bet the Vikings this week.

● This is why you don't be absurd money lines.

● Ronda Rousey losing was very good for Vegas.
