Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire Danny Amendola, reminders and fliers

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:49 p.m. ET

It's safe to assume everybody, their mom and, without question, Martha and Rocky …

... will be targeting Danny Amendola on the waiver wire this week. Tom Brady admitted that the way the Patriots use Amendola in the offense is different than Julian Edelman. So, Brady delivered some bad news to owners looking for an apples-to-apples injury replacement. That is, unless, the Patriots quarterback is, gosh, lying. Could you imagine? Granted, Amendola’s game logs don’t match Edelman’s ridiculous production since he was anointed Wes Welker 2.0 in the Patriots’ offense, but Danny has been solid. Here are his most fantasy friendly stat lines since joining New England in 2013:

Owners do need to realize and accept that Amendola’s targets and touches are no guarantee with Rob Gronkowski, Brandon LaFell, and LeGarrette Blount heavily involved. Brady even eluded to wide receiver Keshawn Martin - who the Pats traded for earlier in the season - having a larger role when healthy. Also, when Dion Lewis went down, some insisted James White and Brandon Bolden needed to be added. Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels don’t work that way. Brady will continue to spread the ball around. What’s encouraging for those who land Amendola, is he’ll produce more times than not as long as he stays healthy. He’s missed 25 games since 2010 and with more work comes a higher likelihood of injury especially on those pass plays over the middle.

Week 6 Suggestions:

Stefon Diggs – averaged 21.7 fantasy points per game in first three games that followed the advice, but has regressed to 7.4 fantasy PPG over last two contests with only two targets against the Raiders. Diggs is still ahead of Mike Wallace and Kyle Rudolph in the passing game.

Doug Baldwin – before dropping 26.4 fantasy points on the Cardinals Sunday night, Baldwin averaged 5.2 points in the previous three games. Russell Wilson doesn’t have time to throw with a subpar offensive line.

Willie Snead – averaged 13.9 fantasy points per game Weeks 6-9 before a knee injury limited him in practice and in the Saints’ Week 10 matchup against the Redskins.

Charcandrick West – after a healthy dose of Knile Davis the past few seasons, West has surprised many with 24.7 fantasy points per game over the past three. He’s going to crush the Chargers in Week 10.

Week 7 Suggestions:

Ryan Fitzpatrick – the Raiders game aside - considering he was knocked out early with a torn ligament in his finger - Fitzmagic is averaging 23.9 fantasy points per game since Week 6. The Jets believe he’ll be ready for Week 11 despite surgery to fix that torn ligament.

Derek Carr – the sophomore quarterback is averaging 30.7 fantasy points since the BYE (four games). You know he’s been a stud.

Christine Michael – a front office report suggested Michael would be involved more, but Darren McFadden has remained healthy and productive the past four weeks and Michael hasn’t touched the ball nearly enough to warrant consideration. And was waived by the Cowboys while writing this feature. Awesome.

James Starks – with Eddie Lacy unproductive (7.5 PPG-PPR) leading up to a Week 10 inactive, Starks has made the most of his opportunities the last two weeks with 19.9 fantasy points per game against the Panthers and Lions.

Rishard Matthews – no touchdowns since Week 7, but averaging 14.6 fantasy points per game for owners in a pinch.

Week 8 Suggestions:

Darren McFadden – the good news is he’s relatively healthy and averaging 15.9 fantasy points per week over the last four, but the PPG average has dipped in each game from 24.2 against the Giants Week 7 to 8.8 against the Buccaneers Week 10.

Stevie Johnson – with no Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd banged up, Johnson’s playoff schedule against the Chiefs, Dolphins and Raiders is very friendly in PPR formats.

Michael Crabtree – averaging 20.2 fantasy points per game since the Raiders BYE.

Davante Adams – coming off game-high 21 targets via Aaron Rodgers, but only produced 79 yards on 10 receptions. Adams is averaging 18.1 points per game over the last two weeks.

Week 9 Suggestions:

DeAngelo Williams – a disappointing effort against the Browns rush defense, but remains a RB1 the rest of the season.

Jeremy Langford – only averaged 31.2 fantasy points per game in place of Matt Forte over the past two games. Owners wishing the Bears traded the veteran running back now to see what Langford could produce the rest of the way.

Tavon Austin – the Rams offense still pretty meh, which forced the team to bench Nick Foles for Case Keenum. Austin still a spec play week-to-week.

Kamar Aiken – averaging 11.6 fantasy points per game since Week 4. Aiken will hover between 8-12 fantasy points per game as Chris Givens has carved out a role in the passing game, too.

Pierre Thomas – inactive (although the Patriots worked him out)

Week 10 Suggestions:

Kansas City Chiefs DST – forced Peyton Manning to the bench.

Pittsburgh Steelers DST – scored 16 fantsay points against a Johnny Manziel led offense

Crockett Gillmore – averaging 9.8 fantasy points per game over his last four
