Wednesday, Jan. 10

Wake Forest (10-5, 1-0) at Maryland (10-4, 0-1)
When: 7 p.m.
Where: College Park, MD, Comcast Center (17,900)
Fast break: The Demon Deacons’ record looks respectable, but they really haven’t been very good other than in a few victories. They are developing, and the Terrapins can’t let their guard down. They have to build on a solid performance in a loss at N.C. State over the weekend. Terrell Stoglin and Alex Len will be the difference.
Forecast: Maryland, 72-64.

Georgia Tech (7-8, 0-1) at N.C. State (12-4, 1-0)
When: 9 p.m.
Where: Raleigh, N.C., RBC Center (19,700)
Fast break: Brian Gregory’s Yellow Jackets team played well above what has been the norm in  a 7-point home loss to Duke over the weekend, but consistency has been a huge problem and playing at that level again is needed to compete with the Wolfpack. State crashes the boards well and shares the ball well on offense. The Pack gets better just about every time it steps on the floor.
Forecast: N.C. State, 77-62.

Andrew Jones’ record: 135-30
