Utah HS football game ends in incredible - and heartbreaking - fashion

Well, this was crazy.

A Utah high school football Class 4A state play-in game ended in the most unlikeliest of ways Tuesday night.

The Spanish Fork Dons were leading the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles 14-11 in the closing moments of the fourth quarter. All Dons QB Jason Money had to do was kill the clock for a few seconds and fall to the ground.

Instead, he ran around a little bit, seemingly with the idea that the game would just end after time expired, without finishing the play. Money was then stripped of the ball and Maple Mountain senior defensive back Brandon Beebe ran it in for the game-winning touchdown, and the Golden Eagles nabbed the final spot in the 4A playoffs.

What a heartbreaking play for Money, but what an unbelievable way for Maple Mountain to advance.
