Three Takeaways from the Blue Jackets win over the Devils

One: Resilient. That one word describes the mentality of this Blue Jackets club. They are rediscovering what held them in good stead last season. That "never give up, never surrender" attitude is the gel that will help them get their season back on track. Down 3-1 early in the game? Never give up, never surrender.

Two:The first goal for Columbus was a textbook example of "good things happen when you shoot the puck on net". Brandon Dubinsky flung the puck at goal, where it rebounded off Martin Brodeur's pad and found the back of Cam Atkinson's leg, before going in the net. Don't be afraid to shoot the puck on net more often.
Three: Their lack of focus in the first period put them in a hole early in this game. They need to tighten up the ship, focus for 60 minutes and look at every game as THE most important game. Because for this club, every game has to be the most important game.
