ARE, Sweden (AP) Sweden's Victor Oehling Norberg won the men's freestyle World Cup skiing Saturday while Fanny Smith of Switzerland stood highest on the women's podium.

Backed by a partisan home crowd, Oehling Norberg won every heat and grabbed 1,000 points before Jonathan Midol of France and Swiss Armin Niederer, who got 800 and 600 points, respectively.

Smith took her win in a heavy final ahead of ski cross World Cup leader Marielle Thompson from Canada and Swedish teenager Sandra Naeslund.

While Oehling Norberg remains in the overall lead with 521 points, ahead of Swiss Alex Fiva and Andreas Matt from Austria, Thompson leads the women with 660 points over Smith and 26 time winner on the World Cup circuit Ophelie David of France.
