San Diego rolled by BYU in first WCC loss

PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Tyler Haws scored 25 points on Saturday night and BYU defeated San Diego 74-57.
Brandon Davies added 17 points for BYU (15-5, 5-1 West Coast). Matt Carlino scored 11 points and dished out six assists and Brock Zylstra scored 10. Nate Austin grabbed nine rebounds.
Johnny Dee led San Diego (11-9, 4-1) with 15 points and Chris Anderson scored 13 to go with seven assists.
BYU had a 17-0 scoring advantage off turnovers, a 16-2 advantage in fast-break points and a 32-18 edge in points in the paint.
San Diego jumped to a quick five-point lead to begin the game, but BYU found its footing shortly thereafter and remained in control the rest of the way.
