NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The Saints have announced that they have re-signed free agent linebacker and special teams player Ramon Humber to a one-year contract.

The announcement was made Friday by Mickey Loomis, the Saints' executive vice president and general manager.

Originally an undrafted free agent signed by the Colts in 2009, Humber spent the past four seasons in New Orleans, where he has played in 63 games, accumulating 71 tackles and 1 sacks. He has 26 tackles on special teams with the Saints.

He played in all 16 games this past season, starting three, and finished with 24 tackles while being credited with a half-sack and a pass defensed.

Humber is the first of the Saints' 12 free agents to re-sign with the team this offseason.
