ST. PAUL, Minn. — An old rivalry and a potential new one highlight the Minnesota Wild's 2012-13 preseason schedule.

Minnesota announced its seven game preseason schedule on Monday, with a home-and-home series scheduled against the Dallas Stars, Winnipeg Jets and also the St. Louis Blues. The Wild have four road games, beginning with the preseason opener on Sept. 25 against Dallas. The preseason ends with a road game against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 6.

The Stars will come to town for the first home preseason game on Sept. 26. The home-and-home with the St. Louis Blues follows on Sept. 27 (at Xcel Energy Center) and Sept. 29. The games against Winnipeg are Oct. 2 and 4 with Minnesota hosting the first game. The Jets are becoming a possible budding rivalry for the Wild, with Minnesota the closest team geographically to Winnipeg and Jets' fans traveling very well to Minnesota last season in the team's first season in Winnipeg after moving from Atlanta.
