The Texas Rangers have added another left-hander to the organization in Mike Kickham.
Texas claimed Kickham on waivers from Seattle and optioned him to Rock Rock. To clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Kickham the Rangers moved outfielder Ryan Rua to the 60-day disabled list.
Kickham was 0-2 with a 7.29 ERA for Triple A Tacoma before being designated for assignment by the Mariners. Kickham was a started for Tacoma after being acquired from the Chicago Cubs in January. The Cubs had picked him up on a waiver claim from San Francisco.
He made 14 appearances for the Giants over two years, going 0-3 with a 10.98 ERA.
