Piquant wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) Piquant extended his winning streak to three, holding off Moments Notiz by a neck Thursday in the $76,950 allowance feature at Aqueduct.

The 7-year-old gelding trained by Richard Stoklosa improved to 8 for 37. Never worse than second, Piquant wrested the lead from the pacesetting Extrasexyhippzster at the top of the stretch before facing a late challenge from Moments Notiz.

Fernando Jara was aboard for the six furlongs in 1:09.44 as the 6-5 favorite paid $4.40 and $2.50.

Moments Notiz returned $3.30.

Extrasexyhippzster was third followed by So Brilliant.

There was no show wagering on the four-horse field.
