Sophomore quarterback Trevor Knight will return for Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl against Clemson on Dec. 29.

Knight suffered a neck injury late in Oklahoma's loss to Baylor on Nov. 8 and missed the next three games.

Knight suffered temporary paralysis after the hit, according to multiple reports. His status for the bowl was unknown.

Knight has thrown for 2,197 yards on 162 of 279 passes this season for 14 scores and nine interceptions. He's also run for 340 yards and five touchdowns.

Freshman Cody Thomas had started in Knight's place, throwing for 292 yards, two scores and three interceptions in Knight's absence. Thomas ran for 103 yards and a touchdown on just eight carries in a win over Texas Tech on Nov. 15.

Oklahoma was 2-1 in his three starts, capped by an overtime loss to Oklahoma State in the season finale.
