North Dakota beats Sacramento St. 79-76 in Big Sky

OGDEN, Utah (AP) Troy Huff scored 18 points and Aaron Anderson added 16 including four clutch free throws as No. 2 seed North Dakota edged seventh-seeded Sacramento State 79-76 in the Big Sky Tournament on Thursday.

North Dakota (16-15) advances to a Friday semifinal.

North Dakota was trailing 72-71 when Anderson scored a layup to regain the lead for good. There were seven ties and 14 lead changes to that point. Anderson scored six of North Dakota's final eight points, including four free throws in the last 17 seconds, each time bumping a one-point lead back to three.

Mikh McKinney led Sacramento State (14-16) with 24 points and seven assists. Dylan Garrity scored 18, including 4 of 4 3-point shooting.

North Dakota, though outrebounded 34-25, outscored the Hornets in the paint, 38-28. Sac State saw a seven-point second-half lead evaporate in about a minute on an Alonzo Traylor layup and Anderson 3-pointer.
