HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Jaqawn Raymond scored 17 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer, to lift Middle Tennessee to a 56-53 win over Marshall on Saturday.

Trailing 47-40 in the second half, Middle Tennessee (21-7, 11-2 Conference USA) retook the lead with an 11-2 run capped by a Kerry Hammonds II trey that made it 51-49 with just under 3 minutes to play. Marshall (9-19, 3-10) tied the game twice down the stretch on Kareem Canty jumpers, setting up Raymond's game-winning 3 -- his fifth trey of the game -- fired just ahead of the shot clock with 19 seconds left.

Neiko Hunter and Reggie Upshaw Jr. scored 10 points apiece for the Blue Raiders, who won their ninth straight to remain atop the C-USA standings.

Ryan Taylor scored 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds for the Thundering Herd, while Canty finished with 13 points and five assists.
