During the news conference Tuesday where he announced his resignation as head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Steve Spurrier was adamant that he was not “retiring.” He even joked about possibly coaching again at the high school level.

Well, one private school in Louisiana is making him an offer to do just that. Dunham School, a private Christian school in Baton Rouge, wants the head ball coach down on the bayou at this very moment to run its offense.

The school’s head coach sent out the offer on Twitter, hoping Spurrier will say yes:

I mean, Spurrier did say he probably wouldn’t be a head coach again, so kudos to this coach for going out there and taking advantage of a no-lose situation. For the record, the Tigers are 5-1 this season, so Spurrier might be happy to join a winner again.
