In a night full of feel-good moments, former Dodgers skipper Tommy Lasorda made sure to keep it all in perspective.

Lasorda, who dropped the ceremonial puck during Dodgers night at the Kings' game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, shared some words with captain Dustin Brown before dropping the puck, shaking the captain's hand and walking off, all the while ignoring Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson.

But was it a mistake? Hardly.

Lasorda, later speaking with FOX Sports West's Patrick O'Neal, explained the awkward - yet deliberate move.

"You do not talk to the opposition," Lasorda said in reference to Johnson, a former King who left LA on less than favorable terms.
