The Minnesota's Wild's new American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild of Des Moines, Iowa, announced today that Todd Frederickson has been named the team's first president. Frederickson had served as the AHL's Vice President, Team Business Services, since 2008. Frederickson will begin his duties with the Wild in mid-May.
"We are thrilled to add someone of Todd's caliber and experience to our new franchise in Iowa," said Minnesota Wild Chief Operating Officer Matt Majka. "Todd's priorities will be building a first-rate staff and connecting with the community."
The Iowa Wild will begin play in the AHL in the 2013-14 season.
